Berlin Traum - I first met René Dohmen in Cologne while performing in Germany. We decided to meet again in Berlin and one afternoon, we recorded some material in Wolfgang Seidel's studio where there was a vibraphone. Insa Rudolph agreed to record some vocals in Frankfurt and created some dream-like lyrics.
Bells on Broadway - René and I collaborated again after I had visited New York and made a track featuring street sounds recorded along Broadway downtown. On a visit upstate I recorded the sound of a train as it moved north on the other side of the Hudson River. All juxtaposed with the sound of Himalayan singing bowls.
Sanctuary - a track full of the resonances of gongs and singing bowls with an underlying drone that supports a beautiful flute-like solo on Kevin Brigg's ebow (bowed electric guitar). This is followed by the haunting sound of René Dohmen's processed guitar.
